Analyzing new shots needs ShotMind's cloud AI, but browsing and searching your already-analyzed local library runs on your Mac, without contacting ShotMind cloud servers and without an internet connection. As long as you keep your local library or an exported archive, and a ShotMind version you have installed, your analyzed shots stay usable even if you go offline, cancel, or ShotMind's cloud services stop.

An exported archive is for backing up and migrating your analyzed library. It includes your library data, analyzed shot clips, thumbnails, and checksums for integrity. It does not include your original full-source videos, which stay where they already are on your Mac, and it is not an encrypted file today, so store it somewhere you trust.
